Virgin1 Commission Spotlights British Seaside

LONDON: Business entrepreneur Duncan Bannatyne is lending his expertise to help restore seaside tourist attractions in the U.K. in a new series, Save our Seaside (working title), commissioned by Virgin1.

The new 6×1-hour series, made by TwoFour, watches as a family visits a dilapidated seaside attraction each week, then filing a secret video report, which Bannatyne will base his action on. Bannatyne will then work to revitalize the attraction, unveiling his work in a grand finale. The show is being executive produced by Mel Leach and Bridget Sneyd at TwoFour.

Daniela Neumann, the director of programs for Virgin1, said: “We are really excited to be working with Duncan Bannatyne on what we hope will be a series which will capture the imaginations of the British people and encourage a regeneration of our seaside attractions— which are a huge part of our heritage.”
