VIJAY Available on Singapore’s StarHub Digital Cable

SINGAPORE, September 18:
VIJAY, one of India's most popular Tamil-language entertainment channels, will
be launching on the Singaporean pay-TV platform StarHub Digital Cable.

VIJAY will be accessible
round-the-clock on channel 28. Its schedule will consist of a variety of
programming genres, including talent contests, music shows, sitcoms, dramas,
thrillers, reality shows and Hindi blockbusters.

The channel will debut in
October and is one of several international channels StarHub is planning to
offer its digital cable customers using DVR set-top boxes. StarHub will also
offer an additional Chinese entertainment channel, STAR Chinese Channel, to
subscribers of its Chinese Entertainment Basic Group.

"The beauty of cable
TV is its capacity to offer a wide range of niche programming to cater to the
needs of our different audience segments,” says Patrick Lim, StarHub's VP of
cable TV services. “StarHub Digital Cable has been the sole operator offering
24-hour Tamil programming in Singapore, and we believe the community of local
Tamil viewers will certainly appreciate what VIJAY will bring to their living
rooms in terms of vibrant and appealing Tamil programs.”

Programming highlights on
VIJAY will include the talent search show Kalakka Povadhu Yaaru 2, the series Kannadi Kadavugal, which tells the story of six middle-class
housewives in suburban Chennai, and Ammu, a sequel to the series En Thozhi En Kadhali En Manaivi. Ammu
is about a young girl who moves from India to Mauritius and befriends a girl
who is really her sister, from whom she was separated at birth.
