Video Interview: Actor Jason Priestley

NEW YORK: Jason Priestley sat down with World Screen to discuss his career and how he was able to break out from the role that put him on the map in Beverly Hills, 90210.

He is best known as a ’90s teen heartthrob from his turn as Brandon Walsh on the hit series Beverly Hills, 90210, but Jason Priestley has taken his career far beyond that role. Throughout the 2000s, he appeared in a number of TV shows, including Tru Calling, Love Monkey, What I Like About You and Without a Trace. Priestley has also made several films, among them Love and Death on Long Island. He is currently starring as Richard "Fitz" Fitzpatrick, a morally bankrupt used-car salesman, in the Canadian series Call Me Fitz.

In addition to his numerous acting credits, Priestley has also pursued a career as a director. He directed a handful of 90210 episodes and has also directed episodes of such shows as 7th Heaven and The Secret Life of the American Teenager. He re-teamed with his former 90210 co-star Luke Perry to direct the Hallmark Channel movie Goodnight for Justice in 2011. Priestley’s feature-film directorial debut is the indie road-trip comedy Cas & Dylan, starring Richard Dreyfuss and Tatiana Maslany.
