Viasat Expands HD Offering in Baltics

STOCKHOLM: Viasat Broadcasting has added to its HD lineup in the Baltic region with the launch of MTVNHD on its pay-TV platform.

An agreement has been inked with MTV Networks International for the launch of MTVNHD to Viasat’s satellite subscribers in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. MTVNHD is the first international high-definition service dedicated to music and kids. MTVNHD has been part of of the HDTV offering in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland since October 2008. The channel now heads to the Baltic region for subscribers who have an HD-ready digital set-top box and the Gold or Silver package and a HD subscription. The channel launches today.
