Viasat Acquires UEFA Champions League Rights for Bulgaria

STOCKHOLM,
December 4: Viasat Broadcasting has acquired live UEFA Champions League
football broadcasting rights for Bulgaria from the 2009/2010 season until the
end of the 2011/2012 championship.

The new rights
will be broadcast on the Diema channel, which is already the current
broadcaster of the English Premier League and was the exclusive broadcaster in
Bulgaria for UEFA Euro 2008. Diema viewers will have access to extensive
coverage of UEFA Champions League, including one game from each Tuesday and
Wednesday match night and highlights from other matches each night.

Viasat has
acquired the live broadcasting rights to a total of 112 UEFA Champions League
matches per season, from the group stage, the first knockout round and the
quarter-finals.

Jacob
Andersson, the CEO of the Diema channels and Nova, commented, "After we
successfully broadcast Euro 2008 on Diema and with the Premier League rights on
the same channel it is a logical step to also acquire the rights to the UEFA
Champions League, the premium club football championship."
