Viacom's Dauman Set for MIPCOM Keynote

CANNES, May 22: Philippe
Dauman, the president and CEO of Viacom, will deliver a keynote speech at
this year’s MIPCOM, which will take place from October 13 to 17 in Cannes.

In his keynote, Dauman
will focus on the creative resurgence at Viacom's cable and motion-picture
studio properties, both in terms of linear programming, digital expansion and
integration. He will discuss how MTV, Nickelodeon, BET and other Viacom
properties have successfully enhanced viewer engagement, increased ratings and
expanded advertiser support as a result of intensified focus and investment in
original programming.

Dauman was named president
and CEO of Viacom in September 2006 and has served on the company’s Board of
Directors since 1987. Viacom’s global reach includes approximately 160 channels
and 325 online properties in 160 countries and territories.

"I am honored to be a
speaker at MIPCOM 2008, an important venue for the industry to discuss
opportunities and challenges related to the central theme of content creation
and distribution,” commented Dauman. “This conference is particularly
meaningful because many of our entertainment brands have been major players in
this part of the world for many years."

"We are extremely
pleased to welcome Philippe Dauman as keynote at MIPCOM 2008,” added Paul
Johnson, the director of television at Reed MIDEM. “Viacom is one of the
world’s leading entertainment content companies and connects people all over
the globe through its leading brands, many of which have been long-time
attendees at our markets. Viacom is a great example of a global entertainment company
that has a strong Content 360 strategy across all its divisions.”
