VH1 Classic, 60 Minutes Partner for New Series

NEW YORK, December 20: VH1 Classic and the CBS News series 60
Minutes
have teamed up to launch Classic
60 Minutes
, a series drawn from the
news-magazine’s video archives that will feature interviews with music legends.

The series will air on VH1 Classic, and will include
interviews with stars such as Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Tina Turner, Ray
Charles, Elton John, Sting and The Eagles. The first episode, focusing on Eric
Clapton, premieres Sunday, January 6, at 8 p.m.

In the half-hour series, hosted by CBS News correspondent
Lara Logan, interviews from past episodes of 60 Minutes will be expanded with never-before-seen footage and
conversations. Logan, who is the chief foreign correspondent for CBS News and
has filed reports for the CBS Evening News, 60 Minutes and the CBS
Radio Network, will also include recent news about the icons.
