VH1 Announces 2008 Lineup

NEW YORK, December 18: VH1 has unveiled a number of new and
returning series for its 2008 slate, including the planned broadcast of the
13th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards, the premiere of its new series Celebrity
Rehab with Dr. Drew
and the return of Rock
of Love with Bret Michaels
for a second
season.

The Broadcast Film Critics Association’s Critics’ Choice
Awards will premiere live on VH1 from
the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium on Monday, January 7, 2008, at 9 p.m. Prior
to the show, the network will air a pre-show, beginning at 8 p.m., which will
also be streamed live on VH1.com. KTLA Morning News entertainment reporter Sam

the Intern and NO GOOD TV’s
entertainment critic Carrie Keagan will cover the red-carpet arrivals.

Premiering on January 10 at 10 p.m., Celebrity Rehab with
Dr. Drew
is an 8×1-hour series following
the real-life experiences of Brigitte Nielsen, Chyna, Daniel Baldwin, Jeff
Conaway, Jessica Sierra, Jaimee Foxworth, Seth "Shifty" Binzer, Mary
Carey and Ricco Rodriguez as they undergo detoxification and treatment at a
center in the Los Angeles area. Dr. Drew Pinsky hosts the series, aided by his
staff of counselors, registered nurses and addiction experts.

Rock of Love with Bret Michaels is set to go into its second season on January 13 at
9 p.m. The Poison front man is looking for love once again, after the winner of
his last series proved unfit, and he will be evaluating the hearts, minds and
looks of 20 new women.

Also returning for a second season is Scott Baio is 46 …
and Pregnant
, which will begin airing on
January 13 at 10 p.m. The commitment-phobe continues where the first season
left off, with Baio graduating from his boot camp and committing to Renee, who
revealed that she was pregnant.

Meanwhile, My Fair Brady … Maybe Baby will be returning for a third season on the network,
beginning January 20 at 10:30 p.m. In the series, newly married Chris Knight
and Adrianne Curry contemplate having a child, even though they’re already in
couples counseling.
