Verizon FiOS Adds New Multicultural Content

NEW YORK, August 26:
Verizon FiOS TV has expanded its lineup with the addition of 14 new in-language
channels from WorldTV, providing a range of content for Arabic, Portuguese and
Russian audiences, among others.

The new channels include Kuwait
TV and MBT (in Arabic); BN and NTV Hayat (Balkan), KISB4—CBS,
KISB5—MBN and KISB7—Sky Baduk (Korean); CTN and TVK (Cambodian);
Pro TV and RSC1 (Romanian); RTR Planeta (Russian); Public TV of Armenia
(Armenian) and RTPi (Portuguese).

Verizon has already
launched the new channels in New York, northern New Jersey, Massachusetts and
Rhode Island, with plans to roll out in all remaining FiOS TV regions over the
next few months.

"This new programming
from around the world is part of what makes FiOS TV the ultimate
home-entertainment experience," said Terry Denson, the VP of FiOS TV
content and programming. "It also helps to expand our multicultural
channel lineup, making FiOS TV an outlet for emerging and independent networks
to showcase their diverse content."
