Venevision Highlights DISCOP Istanbul Slate

MIAMI: As part of its global expansion strategy, Venevision International is headed to the first edition of DISCOP Istanbul with a slate of telenovelas.

Leading off Venevision’s lineup is Eva Luna, the highest-rated telenovela in the U.S. general market, starring Guy Ecker and Blanca Soto. The 120×45-minute series, produced in HD by Venevision and Univision Studios, follows the story of Eva who is searching for her father’s killer and begins to suspect the man she loves.

Venevision is also highlighting its 101×45-minute telenovela A Woman’s Sacrifice about a woman whose life was shattered 20 years ago after the man she loved abandoned her and her newborn baby was abducted. The series stars Marjorie de Sousa and Juan Alfonso Baptista.

The Perfect Woman, Venevision’s original telenovela about six very different women with the common goal of achieving physical perfection, will also be on hand at DISCOP. The 120×45-minute series stars Monica Spear, Ana Karina Manco, Marlene de Andrade, Marisa Roman, Flavia Gleske and Mariaca Semprun as the beauty-obsessed women.

Rounding out Venevision’s offerings is the 187×45-minute series Trapped, which centers on the story of two young adults whose families have been feuding for more than two decades. The telenovela’s cast is led by Alejandra Lascano, David Zepeda, Frances Ondiviela and Sonya Smith.
