VeneMovies Bulks Up Film Slate

MIAMI: More than 120 contemporary Spanish-language films have joined the schedule of VeneMovies in the past year, among them is Kada Kien Su Karma, starring Blanca Guerra and Jose Alonso.

Other titles that have joined the U.S. pay-TV network are Esto Huele Mal, one of Colombia’s top-grossing movies of 2007; Pretendiendo, Mexico’s historical hit featuring Barbara Mori; Partes Usadas, nominated in 2007 for Mexico’s Ariel award; and Mariposa Negra, from Peru and directed by Francisco J. Lombardi .

Also joining VeneMovies, Lolita’s Club, from Spain, stars Eduardo Noriega and Flora Martinez; Ladrones y Mentirosos, from Puerto Rico, features Steven Bauer; and Venezuela’s Elipsis stars Edgar Ramirez (Che, Vantage Point). 

Additionally, the channel acquired the movies Segunda Piel, starring Javier Bardem, as well as a vast collection of titles with this actor, such as Amante Bilingüe, Huevos de Oro, Perdita Durango and Teta y la Luna. El Camino de los Ingleses was directed by Antonio Banderas.
