UTA, Jarrod Moses Launch New Branded Entertainment Firm

NEW YORK, September 11:
United Talent Agency (UTA) and Jarrod Moses, most recently CEO of the WPP-owned
brand firm Alliance, have formed United Entertainment Group (UEG), a new
company devoted to building brand-specific entertainment properties and
creating entertainment-based marketing solutions for major consumer brands.

Headquartered in New York
City, UEG will operate separately and independently from UTA. United
Entertainment Group will focus “alternative media development” by creating new
ways for brands to communicate with their consumers. This includes brand
development, building products and services with brands and entertainment
properties; branded entertainment, integrating products into film, TV, music,
live events, video gaming and publishing; consulting on long-term entertainment
and marketing projects for brands and entertainment companies; and incubation
and development by investing in and managing brands and properties.

UTA partner Lisa Jacobson
will continue to oversee the agency's branding and licensing business, which
includes Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B. and Harajuku Lovers lines, Christy
Turlington's Nuala and Maha Nuala lines, and premier art toy creator and
retailer Kidrobot's fashion and lifestyle business. UTA will also continue its
successful corporate consulting practice, which represents brands such as
American Eagle Outfitters and Amazon.com.

Moses co-founded the brand
integration firm Alliance in 1997, where he worked on behalf of global consumer
brands and companies such as Procter & Gamble, The Coca Cola Company, NBC
Universal, Panasonic, Reebok, Mercedes Benz, MTV Networks, Hasbro, Motorola and
Wal-Mart. Under Moses, Alliance created over 200 television programs, strategic
partnerships, concert tours, endorsement deals, product placements, celebrity
partnerships, television brand integration and licensing deals, and
merchandising programs, with deals exceeding a total value of $1.5 billion.

"UEG is a one-stop
shop for brands and entertainment entities to build new communications
platforms," said Moses, the president and CEO of UEG. "Now more than
ever brands want total solutions that are evolutionary and capture the consumer
in an intriguing and motivating fashion. UTA is an industry leader in
identifying and representing the best creative voices of our generation, and
the best possible partner for what we both believe is the right kind of company
at the right time."
