USA Network Announces New Development Slate

NEW YORK, March 29: Bolstering its “Characters Welcome”
brand, USA Network has announced a new development slate for the 2007/2008
season, including five new pilot scripts.

USA Network’s upcoming slate includes The Negotiator (working title), featuring a crisis negotiator for
the FBI named Archie Stark, who suddenly loses his job, and decides to put his
skills to use as a relationship counselor in New York City; American
Girl,
about a Wal-Mart greeter named Cindy
who is transformed after being accidentally shot in a robbery gone awry; Family
Values,
which follows the Peyton family who
is really masquerading as an undercover team of FBI agents in the suburbs; The
Oldest Rookie,
about a 43-year-old man
named Steve Upstone who trades his stable job for a position as a police
officer; and Spying in High Heels, about
a fashion-obsessed woman named Maddie Springer who realizes that her knack for
style makes her a great sleuth, and she decides to open a detective agency.
