USA Greenlights New Crime Drama

LOS ANGELES: The hour-long original series White Collar (working title) has been added to USA Network’s lineup.

The series stars Matthew Bomer (Chuck, Tru Calling), Tim DeKay (Tell Me You Love Me, Carnivale), Tiffani Thiessen (What About Brian, Fastlane) and Willie Garson (Sex and the City, John From Cincinnati). The story follows the unlikely partnership of a con artist and an FBI agent who have been on each other’s tails for years. Neal Caffrey (Bomer), a charming criminal mastermind, is finally caught by his nemesis, Peter Burke (DeKay). When he escapes from a maximum-security prison to find his long-lost love, Peter nabs him once again. Instead of heading back to jail, Neal suggests a trade off: he’ll provide his expertise to assist in catching other criminals. The series will be shot on location in New York.

USA will premiere the show with a 90-minute episode followed by 13 one-hour episodes. White Collar was created and is executive produced by Jeff Eastin (Hawaii, Meet the Marks) and comes from Fox Television Studios. Bronwen Hughes (Burn Notice, Breaking Bad) directed the pilot.
