UKTV’s Watch Commissions Prime-Time Game Show

LONDON: Shine TV has received a commission from UKTV for a new game show, What Do Kids Know?, that is slated to launch on Watch early next year.

The show pairs celebrities with kids and attempts to unravel what goes on in kids’ minds. Comedian Rufus Hound will host the 10×30-minute production. Filmed in front of a live studio audience, three teams will compete against each other in a range of games.

UKTV’s director of entertainment commissioning, Lisa Perrin, said: “This series promises to finally lift the lid on what kids actually know! I guarantee maximum confusion for our celebrity captains who will have to regress to their childhood if they want to have the slightest hope of winning. Add the pressure of a live studio audience to that explosive mix and I can guarantee a hilarious show.”

Watch’s channel head, Paul Moreton, added: “Following on from the success we’ve had with Tarrant Lets The Kids Loose, I wanted another series that would unite the family in front of the telly and give them full octane, riotous entertainment! Kids are naturally funny and by getting everyone to look at the world through the eyes of a child, we will see the humor in the everyday.”
