UKTV Takes NBCU Reality Series for Really

LONDON: Really, the second lifestyle channel from UKTV to rebrand, has picked up the exclusive British multichannel rights to two reality shows from NBC Universal International Television Distribution: Momma’s Boys and Million Dollar Listing.

Originally commissioned by Bravo from World of Wonder, season two of Million Dollar Listing gives viewers an inside look at the top real-estate agents in Los Angeles. The 6×1-hour docuseries receives its U.K. television premiere on Really every weeknight at 11 p.m. starting July 20. Produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions and Glassman Media for the NBC network, Momma’s Boys is a 7×1-hour reality dating series. The show follows a group of mothers who must help choose the perfect woman for their sons. Momma’s Boys is to make its British debut on Really in October.

UKTV’s acting director of content acquisitions, Alexandra Finlay, said, “We are thrilled to have acquired these two series exclusively for our new lifestyle channel, Really. Its unique positioning has opened the doors to rich vein of U.S. reality programming for us for the first time here at UKTV, and we’ll be looking to acquire more going forward.”

Really’s channel head, Clare Laycock, added, “Really is a smart, straight-talking channel which aims to inspire, amaze and most importantly, get women talking. These new shows do exactly that. They’re completely addictive. Really, you couldn’t make it up!”
