UKTV Names Emma Tennant Controller

LONDON: Emma Tennant, the former controller of digital channels at ITV, has been made the controller of UKTV, leading the company’s ten channels and multiplatform activities.

Tenant will be part of UKTV’s Executive Leadership Team and report to Darren Childs, the CEO of UKTV, and George Entwhistle, the director of vision. She has a background in acquisitions and was responsible for commissioning Martina Cole’s Ladykillers, Matthew Kelly’s Forensic Casebook and the successful drama series Ladies of Letters.

“Emma will be instrumental in leading UKTV through the evolution of its next creative challenge and I am delighted she will be joining the team,” Childs said. “Her strong commercial success combined with enviable creative, editorial and leadership qualities make Emma the perfect appointment.”
