UKTV Fills Director of Commissioning Post

LONDON: Jane Rogerson has been appointed to the newly created role of director of commissioning at UKTV.

Rogerson is currently the director of factual and factual entertainment commissioning. She now takes on sole responsibility for managing UKTV’s in-house commissioning team of eight, which currently orders more than 600 hours of original content per year across UKTV’s portfolio of multiplatform offerings, including Watch, Dave, GOLD, Good Food, Home and Yesterday. Rogerson will continue to report directly to UKTV’s controller, Matthew Littleford, while working alongside all of UKTV’s individual channel heads to meet the commissioning needs of each brand.

Littleford said, “I am thrilled Jane will be leading our truly talented commissioning team in this newly created role. Over the last two years she’s delivered a wide variety of high rating, noisy shows, including Fawlty Towers Re-opened, Gutted and DomJoly’s Made in Britain that have helped define and elevate our evocative portfolio of channel brands, all while raising UKTV’s within the indie community to unprecedented levels.”
