Tyler Florence to Front New ITV Studios Pilot

LOS ANGELES: ITV Studios, in partnership with Parade Publications, has selected celebrity chef Tyler Florence to host and serve on the judging panel for the new pilot Search for the Greatest American Recipe.

The pilot will send cameras to seven different regions of the U.S. in search of strange and wonderful recipes created by ordinary families. Each regional finalist will get a spot in the final episode, going head to head in a cooking competition that will result in this year’s "Greatest American Recipe." The series will be supported by a multiplatform promotional campaign using Parade magazine and Parade.com. The website will offer additional content, as well as community-building components such as blogs, recipe databases, games and other activities. Shooting for the pilot begins September 20.

“The addition of Tyler as host and lead judge lends the perfect final ingredient to Search for the Greatest American Recipe, which is already backed by a strong concept and an even strong partner in Parade magazine,” said Paul Buccieri, the president and CEO of ITV Studios. “Tyler is the ideal fit for a show that taps into today’s harried viewers’ strong appetites for the best of easy-to-make, economic and tasty recipes from the kitchens of everyday American families.”

"We’re delighted to have Tyler Florence join us for this exciting venture," added Parade‘s president and publisher, Randy Siegel. "We believe Search for the Greatest American Recipe will be a big win for all our partners and for everyone who loves to cook…and eat."
