Two New Non-Scripted Series for Bravo

NEW YORK, June 12: Bravo
has unveiled plans for a teen-focused Top Chef spin-off, tentatively titled Top Chef Junior, and has picked up an eight-episode untitled
docu-series centered on chef Jean-Christophe Novelli.

Top Chef Junior will feature teens competing in culinary
challenges, much like its Emmy-nominated predecessor. Magical Elves, the group
behind the original Top Chef
and Project Runway, will
produce the series, with Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz serving as the executive
producers.

The untitled Jean-Christophe
Novelli project will chronicle the celebrity chef’s move to Los Angeles,
following him as he opens a cooking school and tests and trains his students.
The show is produced by Mentorn USA (Work Out, Paradise Hotel) for Bravo, with Greg Johnston (The Osbournes, Newlyweds), Hannah Wyatt and Dan Barraclough as the executive producers.

"With Top Chef as the number one food show on cable comes the
natural expansion in our food domain," said Frances
Berwick, the executive VP and general manager of Bravo Media. "With Top
Chef Junior
we're reaching a
growing market and are developing a series that will teach and test the skills
of younger aspiring chefs and appeal to the whole family. We feel that
Jean-Christophe Novelli's reputation, personality and expertise will prove
incredibly enticing to our passionate core audience."
