Twentieth Television Takes on Azteca Novela

MEXICO CITY/LOS ANGELES, October 5: Less than a month since
picking up the format rights to La Heredera,
Twentieth Television has acquired another TV Azteca novela: La Calle
de las Novias
(Brides’ Avenue).

The show, originally featuring Silvia Navarro, Sergio
Basañez and Juan Manuel Bernal, will be adapted for broadcast on MyNetworkTV.
It narrates the story of two young lovers caught up in the rivalry between
their families.

The Mexican broadcaster, via its distributor Comarex, will
be at MIPCOM next week showcasing its catalogue of new titles, led by Pasiones
Prohibidas
(Forbidden Passions), about the love affair between a wealthy woman and
her bodyguard. Elsewhere on the slate are Amor Sin Condiciones (Unconditional Love) and Amores Cruzados an HD novela co-produced with Caracol in Colombia.
