ZDF Studios Takes on Worldwide Distribution of Black Death Doc

ZDF Studios will handle worldwide distribution, excluding the U.S. and U.K., of the new documentary series Black Death Patient Zero, produced by Impossible Factual.

Black Death Patient Zero is a co-production of ZDF/ARTE, WNET and Hearst UK and has been presold to Viasat. The two-part special unravels one of history’s most unwavering mysteries: the origin of the Black Death.

Black Death Patient Zero contains exclusive interviews with scientists and historians, including Dr. Philip Slavin and Professor Johannes Krause. Viewers will gain insight into the work of aDNA laboratories and the cultural impact of the plague through art and literature.
