World Screen to Present Second Annual Factual Trendsetter Awards

NEW YORK: World Screen and TV Real are again teaming up with Reed MIDEM to present the Factual Trendsetter Awards at MIPDoc, this year honoring executives from Foxtel, Canal+, ORF and National Geographic.

The second-annual Factual Trendsetter Awards recognize executives for bold, innovative choices in factual programming. This year’s honorees are Hannah Barnes, the general manager of LifeStyle Channels at Foxtel; Isabelle Antraygue, the head of acquisitions for TV and SVOD at the factual and doc channels of Canal+; Andrew Solomon, the head of natural history and history at ORF; and Hamish Mykura, the executive VP of programming and development at National Geographic Global Networks.

These executives will each receive a Factual Trendsetter Award at the end of the What Do Buyers & Commissioners Want? session at MIPDoc on Saturday, April 1.

This session will see the honorees discussing their commissioning, acquisition and co-production strategies in conversation with Anna Carugati, World Screen’s group editorial director.
