World Media Rights has appointed Val Campbell as head of production and Suzanne Clarke as finance director following a board restructure and an investment from ZDF Enterprises.

Campbell arrives at World Media Rights with more than 20 years of production experience in factual documentaries. Her credits include Britain’s Adoption Scandal: Breaking the Silence for ITV, First Contact: Lost Tribe of the Amazon for Channel 4/Netflix and a range of current affairs and factual documentaries for broadcasters such as HBO, PBS, Al Jazeera, Discovery, MSNBC, France TV, ARD in Germany and RCN in Colombia.

Clarke previously served as head of accounts for Frank Warren’s Boxnation pay-TV boxing channel before founding her own e-learning company, World Academy, in Australia, where she was CFO.

In the board restructure, World Media Rights’ CEO, Alan Griffiths, was joined by Creative Director David McNab and ZDF Enterprises’ Tanja Meier-Sieden. World Media Rights is currently recruiting for an executive producer in factual entertainment.

Griffiths commented, “As we build World Media Rights following our partnership with ZDF Enterprises we’re determined to attract the very best talent the industry has to offer. We’re building a new management team and one of the ways we are doing that is by offering an equity stake in our business.”

Campbell added, “I am very pleased to be joining the team at WMR at this time of exciting new development and look forward to our move into new areas of programming.”
