DRG has brokered international deals for six WildBear Entertainment series, which place them on various networks across EMEA, AsiaPac and the Americas.

The deals cover three factual World War II series—Hitler’s Propaganda Machine, Living in the Shadow of WWII and Total War—two factual engineering shows, Power and Mega Machines, and one historical factual, 101 Events That Made the 20th Century.

In the U.K., DRG has struck deals with More4 for Living in the Shadow of WWII and UKTV for Hitler’s Propaganda Machine, which will air on its Yesterday channel. A+E Networks and Discovery Europe have both scored Mega Mechanics.

In Sweden, A+E Networks acquired Total War and Hitler’s Propaganda Machine. AMC Networks has taken both of these titles for broadcast in Central Europe, as well as 101 Events That Made the 20th Century, Living in the Shadow of WWII and Power. TV Prima obtained all six titles in the Czech Republic.

National Geographic in Poland and AMC Iberia have taken Power, while Spiegel TV in Germany acquired 101 Events That Made the 20th Century.

In the Americas, Mega Mechanics has been procured by Discovery Canada; Alliant Content has taken Hitler’s Propaganda Machine, Mega Mechanics and Power for the U.S., Canada and Latin America, with Pluto TV having also taken Living in the Shadow of WWII, Power and Mega Mechanics for the same regions; Roku landed the U.S. rights for 101 Events That Made the 20th Century, with Total Content Digital getting the VOD, DVD and DTO rights for Total War, Hitler’s Propaganda Machine, Living in the Shadow of WWII and 101 Events That Made the 20th Century.

Meanwhile, in Australia, Mega Mechanics will air on Network 10, and 101 Events That Made the 20th Century, Hitler’s Propaganda Machine, Living in the Shadow of WWII and Total War will air on Foxtel’s History Channel. Mega Mechanics has also been bought by TVNZ for broadcast in New Zealand.

Power has been secured by Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific and Aceonemedia in South Korea, while the U-7 Group will air the title in Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and other central Asian territories. In Thailand, Truecorp has taken Mega Mechanics.

BBC Studios secured Hitler’s Propaganda Machine and Mega Mechanics across Africa. In the Middle East, Tel-Ad Israel has taken both Hitler’s Propaganda Machine and Total War; Power and 101 Events That Made the 20th Century have been acquired by Novo Media for broadcast in the U.A.E., Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Oman and Iraq.

“WildBear Entertainment continues to produce top-quality, accessible factual content that appeals to a wide range of broadcasters and platforms worldwide,” said Elin Thomas, DRG’s executive VP of sales. “We are especially delighted to offer such strong new World War II content to sit alongside WildBear’s other recent titles such as Impossible Peace and Battles Won and Lost. With the 80th anniversary of the start of the second World War this year, we are anticipating that demand for all these titles will continue to increase as broadcasters start to plan their schedules.”

Michael Tear, WildBear Entertainment’s CEO, added: “DRG has an excellent track record for placing our content with a wide range of broadcasters around the globe and we are delighted to see these newer titles getting off to such a strong start. We pride ourselves in telling new stories around established themes, and it is rewarding to see titles such as Hitler’s Propaganda Machine proving so popular.”
