Wheelhouse has entered a development and production partnership with veteran unscripted producer Rasheed J. Daniel and his TeamSheed Productions.
Daniel previously served as showrunner and executive producer of Netflix’s W.A.G.s to Riches, from Wheelhouse’s Spoke Studios. Through the new partnership, he will work closely with Wheelhouse and its various labels to develop and produce new unscripted content.
TeamSheed Productions is behind ALL BLK and WEtv’s competition series Deb’s House, currently in its second season.
Prior to launching TeamSheed in 2021, Daniel was a VP at Big Fish Entertainment, where he executive produced VH1’s Black Ink Crew and spin-offs Black Ink Crew: Chicago and Black Ink Crew: Compton. His other credits include Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Below Deck and Blood Sweat and Heels, as well as MTV’s Teen Mom Family Reunion and The Love Experiment. He made his directorial debut with TLC’s What Not to Wear at 24 years old, shortly after earning critical acclaim for his work on the 9/11 documentary 7 Days in September.
“Rasheed is an absolute force and talent magnet,” said Brent Montgomery, CEO of Wheelhouse. “We grew up in the industry together, and I was thrilled to see him elevate every element of W.A.G.s to Riches. His authentic approach to characters and storytelling is undeniable, and we’re excited to give him a bigger canvas for his boldest ideas.”
Daniel added, “Over the years, I’ve admired how Brent has built hubs that foster bold creativity. His deep understanding of the ever-evolving landscape of the industry makes this a partnership TeamSheed is proud to embark on. Our collective mission is clear: to amplify authentic voices, deliver groundbreaking stories and shape the future of entertainment.”
