World Congress of Science & Factual Producers (WCSFP) is awarding the late Michael Mosley with the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award at the Buzzies Awards.

A journalist, executive producer and presenter, Mosley was a tireless advocate for the popularization of science. He passed away earlier this year of natural causes while hiking on the Greek island of Symi at the age of 67.

Nominated by BBC Studios, the award highlights a career and legacy that has enriched lives worldwide and continues to inspire. His wife, Clare, will accept the award on his behalf at the upcoming ceremony.

The 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award is sponsored by PBS Distribution.

Paul Lewis, conference director, said, “Michael was a wonderful supporter and friend of Congress. His enthusiasm and passion for science storytelling have had a profound impact on all of us. We’re thrilled to be celebrating his life and achievements with this tribute and honor his groundbreaking and unforgettable work.”
