The WaterBear streaming platform has entered into a partnership with the Resilient Foundation that will see the launch of a TVOD offering.

The Resilient Foundation is a non-profit organization that funds storytelling around the world across short-form, feature documentaries, journalism, live and news telling stories that may otherwise go unreported. WaterBear’s Resilient Collection will make documentary films available to rent on the platform, with all revenue directed to raise funds for the foundation.

WaterBear’s main platform remains free to access. Rental prices for the collection span $2.99 to $3.99, and members will have 48 hours to watch the film after purchase.

Docs include The Game Changers, a quest for the truth about meat, protein and strength; Blackfish (U.K. only), about a performing killer whale that killed several people while in captivity; For the Birds, which follows a woman who lives with 200 pet chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys; Gods In Shackles, revealing the dark side of the southern Indian state of Kerala’s glamorous cultural festivals. Further highlights include Food Inc., from filmmaker Robert Kenner; Watson, from award-winning documentarian Lesley Chilcott; and Kiss the Ground, narrated by and featuring Woody Harrelson.
