WarnerMedia OneFifty and Banijay Americas have joined forces for a partnership and incubator program to develop unscripted series.

The partnership will incubate original projects from artists who have strong cultural aesthetics in the docuseries space. Each of the selected creators will receive a grant from WarnerMedia OneFifty, in addition to development deals with participating Banijay Americas’ production studios to support their projects and prep them to sell to potential buyers.

Up to five creators will be selected, and there will be a submission process. At the end of the incubation period, Banijay Americas will partner with WarnerMedia OneFifty to pitch the projects, with first right of refusal given to WarnerMedia properties.

Axel Caballero, head of WarnerMedia OneFifty, said: “We are delighted and excited to partner with Banijay Americas on this exciting new venture. Creating these types of partnerships will ensure that WarnerMedia OneFifty achieves its goals of uncovering creativity and untold stories with content from undiscovered artists.”

Pita Loor, executive VP of enterprise inclusion and social responsibility at Banijay Americas, said: “We are thrilled to partner with WarnerMedia OneFifty on this first-of-its-kind initiative, which reflects our commitment to uplifting artists with authentic visions and talent, providing them a platform to develop and tell their unique stories. Having our colleagues at 51 Minds, Bunim/Murray and Truly Original participate will ensure that selected storytellers have the support and expertise they need to develop, sell and produce their series.”
