SHERMAN OAKS: GRB Entertainment is heading to MIPCOM with a lineup featuring real-life crime titles, docuseries and other factual programs, including WALT: The Man Behind the Myth.

WALT: The Man Behind the Myth is the official biography of Walt Disney, sanctioned by The Walt Disney Family Foundation. The 90-minute documentary is presented by Diane Disney Miller and narrated by Dick Van Dyke, and comes as the 50th anniversary of Disney’s death approaches.

The company is also showcasing the investigative series Occult Crimes. “There is an ever-increasing appetite for programs in the crime-and-investigation space and buyers are always looking for a new spin on the genre,” says Michael Lolato, GRB’s senior VP of international distribution. “Occult Crimes brings in the element of satanic/paranormal activity and the crimes that are committed within these circles.”

In Cleveland Hustles, meanwhile, NBA superstar LeBron James and his longtime friend and business partner Maverick Carter give four aspiring local entrepreneurs the chance to realize their dreams while also helping to revitalize a Cleveland neighborhood.

GRB’s slate also features Until Proven Innocent: The Hannah Overton Story, as well as CNN documentaries from Soledad O’Brien, including Babies Behind Bars, Black & Blue and multi-documentary collections Black in America and Latino in America.

“At GRB, we continue to source and represent some of the most intriguing stories in the world, and this MIPCOM we are proud to bring top programs to the market,” says Lolato. “Our official doc on Walt Disney—an iconic man with a great impact on pop culture—offers amazing exclusive footage of his private life. We also have two fun and inspiring series featuring Ja Rule and LeBron James. We continue to bring riveting, real-life crime with Occult Crimes and Until Proven Innocent: The Hannah Overton Story. We are also thrilled to represent a number of Soledad O’Brien’s CNN documentaries, which span crime and human-interest.”

He adds: “We have a fascinating slate of new programs in the genres of crime, factual, lifestyle and scripted.”
