VICE Studios & OUTtv Team Up for Makeover Series

VICE Studios and Canada’s OUTtv are collaborating to produce a makeover series that celebrates the transgender and gender non-conforming community.

Clothes Minded will center on transgender and gender non-conforming young adults who are nervous for a key event coming up in their lives—a job interview, a wedding, a prom—because they are still working to feel comfortable with their identity. Clothes Minded will help each individual find their own unique look and, consequently, an authentic way to represent and connect with their true selves.

VICE Studios will be handling global distribution of the series outside of OUTtv’s territories, which are in Canada, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and India.

Clothes Minded is a natural next step for us in original programming as we continue to develop content for and about the LGBTQ+ communities,” said Brad Danks, CEO of OUTtv. “VICE Studios always strives to shine a light on underrepresented communities and we look forward to joining forces with them to bring new and inclusive programming to our respective audiences.”

“Celebrating unique viewpoints of the world that connect humanity together is emblematic of VICE’s ethos,” added Vanessa Case, senior VP for VICE Studio Canada. “Clothes Minded is the perfect series to bring that spirit to audiences in partnership with OUTtv.”
