Denver-based production company Dorsey Pictures has appointed Sean Hogan as VP of current programming, effective in April.

In the position, Hogan will oversee series such as Maine Cabin Masters and Building Alaska, as well as the company’s crime programming slate, which includes Dog’s Most Wanted for WGN and a forthcoming series for Oxygen. He will report to Chris Dorsey, CEO of Dorsey Pictures, a Red Arrow Studios company.

With over a decade of production experience, Hogan has worked extensively with 495 Productions and Big Fish Entertainment. His credits include MTV’s Jersey Shore, VH1’s Black Ink Crew, Dating Naked, and Tool Academy. He also assisted on the launches of MTV’s Jersey Shore Family Vacation, Floribama Shore, Snooki and JwowwDisaster Date, Spike TV’s Tattoo Nightmares, RepoGames and CMT’s Party Down South. Hogan is also currently producing a new prime-time series for FOX.

“Hogan has a reputation for balancing character-driven shows with heart and comedy,” said Dorsey. “He creates an environment of trust on set, leads by example, exemplifies hard work, and believes the best producing comes from capturing a character’s real and honest feelings, all of which are core values to Dorsey Pictures.”
