UKTV’s W Orders Dating Show Ultimate Matchmaker

W has commissioned a new UKTV original titled The Ultimate Matchmaker, which marks the entertainment channel’s first dating program.

The Ultimate Matchmaker follows the workers at a high-class dating agency in London. The 8×60-minute series will be led by dating expert and seasoned matchmaker Lara Asprey. It is being produced by Ricochet.

Helen Nightingale, commissioning editor, stated: “In the year that Prince Harry marries Meghan, don’t we all just yearn for a love story with a fairy-tale ending? This exciting new series for W is a funny and heartwarming peek into the extraordinary world of a very exclusive dating agency.”

Steve North, genre general manager for comedy and entertainment, noted: “We’ve wanted a show about dating ever since W was launched but we knew it had to be just right. We’re really thrilled to have found the perfect match and we know viewers will really respond to The Ultimate Matchmaker.”
