eOne to Internationally Rep Hulu Doc About Barbie

Entertainment One (eOne) has inked a deal with Hulu to handle the distribution outside of the U.S. for Tiny Shoulders: Rethinking Barbie, a documentary on the iconic toy figure and its cultural influence.

Tiny Shoulders: Rethinking Barbie screened at the Tribeca Film Festival and was selected as a special presentation at the Hot Docs Festival. The film comes from Oscar nominee and Emmy winner Andrea Nevins and producer Cristan Crocker. It became available for streaming on Hulu as of April 27.

Tiny Shoulders: Rethinking Barbie was produced by Nevins and Crocker’s Rare Birds Films. The documentary was written and directed by Nevins, with Crocker serving as producer and Azin Samari as editor.

“The appetite for quality, authored documentaries is growing fast and the exclusive access Andrea and Cristan were granted and observed, coupled with the insight on how we see beauty, stereotypes and women’s progress in the Western world created a must-see film,” stated Stuart Baxter, the president of international distribution at eOne.
