UKTV is bringing the brand-new six-episode series The Wedding Fixer to its entertainment channel W later this year.

The UKTV original series is produced by Little Gem and stars one of the world’s foremost wedding planners, Sarah Haywood. The series follows Haywood as she fights to make derailed wedding days go off without a hitch, whether the bride and groom have blown the budget, the dress company has gone bust, or any number of other calamities have befallen the couple.

The Wedding Fixer joins a growing list of UKTV original shows coming to W this year, including Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over and a second season of the ratings success Emma Willis: Delivering Babies. The series is executive produced by Kurt Seywald and Ben Gale for Little Gem, Kirsty Hanson for UKTV and will be distributed by all3media international.

Hanson said: “We are incredibly excited to be working with the combination of Little Gem and Sarah Haywood, who is not only a standout big, feisty character, but has unrivaled expertise when it comes to all things wedding!”

Adam Collings, channel director for W, said: “This UKTV Original series is a brilliant look at the highs and lows of wedding planning; introducing force of nature, Sarah Haywood, to help couples avoid making mistakes they might regret forever. We can’t wait to see the drama ensue!”

Seywald said: “We are very excited to be working with someone of Sarah Haywood’s caliber and expertise to help anxious couples across the nation realize their ultimate wedding dreams.”

Maartje Horchner, executive VP of content at all3media international, added: “It’s always a pleasure to work with UKTV, and we are delighted to be partnering with Little Gem for the first time on this show that has strong appeal as both a tape and format proposition in the international marketplace.”
