UKTV Commissions New Series for Dave & W

UKTV has ordered the new factual series Nurses on the Ward and Special Ops: Crime Squad UK for W and Dave, respectively.

Produced by Red Sauce, Special Ops: Crime Squad UK gives viewers a glimpse of real-life criminal investigations in the U.K. and those who tackle them. With access to police officers from across the country, the series will tell the stories of the specialist, elite teams that are assembled to make breakthroughs in the challenging cases. It will air on Dave in 2022.

Special Ops: Crime Squad UK not only gives unique insight into these top-level police investigations, it reveals the real, lived experience for the police officers involved. We’ve filmed with multiple task forces across the country and combined this with exclusive interviews, archive, CCTV and body-cam footage to make a truly compelling series.”

Nurses on the Ward, from Label 1, will follow the nurses of Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth to provide insight into the lives of the healthcare heroes and what it really takes to be a nurse in 2021.

Also on W, Inside the Ambulance is set to return for a 14th season. It is produced by Brown Bob Productions.
