Twitter Alum Fred Graver Joins Discovery Digital

Fred Graver, the former global head of TV at Twitter, has been appointed senior VP of digital content and social for Discovery Digital at Discovery Communications.

In his new post, Graver will supervise the digital network teams across Discovery’s U.S. portfolio to extend the brand’s reach across all digital media platforms. Based in New York, he will report to Karen Leever, the executive VP/general manager of digital media at Discovery Communications.

While working at Twitter, Graver was responsible for building out the company’s global television team, as well as coordinating with the brand strategy and revenue divisions. Before joining the social media website, he served as executive VP of programming at Travel Channel and senior VP at MTV Networks. He is the recipient of multiple Emmys, as well as an NAACP Award and a Webby.

“I am thrilled to have Fred join the Discovery Digital team,” said Leever. “He brings with him a wealth of experience and a passion for the Discovery brands. As a creative visionary, he is perfectly suited to drive our networks’ digital and social strategies forward as we continue to pursue our goal of creating iconic Discovery content for audiences across all platforms.”
