Terranoa Secures Sales for Doc Slate

Terranoa has signed a raft of deals for titles from its history slate, including one with Viasat for the one-offs Pompeii Rising and Vatican: Secrets of The Popes’ City.

The two history documentaries have been pre-acquired by Kultura TV and TVP. The latter title will be delivered in late spring 2020 and features exclusive access to the Vatican.

Meanwhile, Versailles Rediscovered, The Sun King’s Vanished Palace has enjoyed a raft of international sales, including to Rai1, VRT, Kultura TV, Sky Arts Italy, NC+ Poland, Axess TV Sweden and RTVE Spain.

Eiffel Tower, The Incredible Bet from Martange Productions aired on C8 and Planete+ in France has been successfully distributed with recent sales to NHK, ORF, ZDF, Spiegel, NC+ Poland and Rai. The event documentary celebrates the 130th anniversary of this iconic building.

War Time Rapes: The Unspoken Weapon from MC4 has been sold to RSI, RTS and TV5 Québec.

Several package deals have also been struck in the past weeks. Thirty hours of programming were sold to Ceska TV, including Sounds of Nature, Cooking the World and Lake Geneva: The Giant Tsunami.

Eight hours went to Servus, including the travel series Brazil’s Coastlines (5×52 min.) and two science titles, Moon (Camera Lucida) and Rosetta (Look at Science).

In Sweden, Terranoa sold four of its arts biopics to SVT, including Josephine Baker, Sherlock Holmes vs Conan Doyle, Renoir and the Girl with a Blue Ribbon and a profile on Hergé.

Axess TV acquired a Salman Rushdie profile, along with the history titles Versailles Rediscovered, The Sun King’s Vanished Palace and Citizen Kahn.
