Terra Mater Sells 100 Hours in Cannes

VIENNA: At MIPTV, Terra Mater Factual Studios sold more than 100 hours of premium history, science and natural-history programming to broadcasters in such territories as the U.S., U.K., France, Italy, Russia, Australia and China.

International partners on board David Attenborough’s Light on Earth, a film about bioluminescence, are BBC, UKTV, ABC Australia, CuriosityStream and SVT in Sweden. The title was also snapped up by Discovery India, CITV China, Thairath TV in Thailand and by broadcasters in Poland and Russia.

The blue-chip series Nile: The Ultimate River was licensed by Italy’s RAI. ZDFneo inked a package deal that includes more than 14 hours. Ten hours of Terra Mater content are headed to Portugal, eight to France and 60 to Iran.
