Passion Distribution is set to bring a slate of more than 150 hours of factual-entertainment series and documentary titles to MIPTV this year.

National Geographic’s Christian Drobnyk, CuriosityStream’s Steve Burns and France Télévisions’ Thierry Mino shared their acquisition and co-production strategies at MIPDoc in a session moderated by World Screen’s Anna Carugati before each receiving a World Screen Factual Trendsetter Award.

The Story of Europe, which uses reenactments and visuals to chronicle the region’s history, topped the list of most-screened titles at MIPDoc.

MIPDoc, along with MIPFormats, drew some 1,800 participants the weekend before MIPTV, and in the doc sector, high-end projects reigned supreme.
