Passion Distribution Highlighting Fact-Ent, Doc Series at MIPTV


Passion Distribution is set to bring a slate of more than 150 hours of factual-entertainment series and documentary titles to MIPTV this year.

Among the factual-entertainment titles Passion Distribution will be showcasing at Cannes is the Firecracker Films-produced Mums Make Porn, which gives a group of mothers with teenage kids the chance to write, direct and produce an adult film. Their aim is to create pornography for the next generation that ignites a debate and promotes healthy attitudes towards sex and relationships. It launches on Channel 4 today (March 20).

Also from Firecracker Films is The Sex Clinic and The Customer is Always Right. The former features experts offering advice on young people’s sexual health issues—with no topic being off-limits—while the latter shows aspiring business owners putting their product inventions to the test with customers who’ll ultimately determine a winning entrepreneur.

Passion Distribution recently acquired Big Mountain’s My Family Secrets, a fact-ent series that has a team of genealogical and historical experts on hand to build family trees and explore people’s ancestral history.

Documentary series on Passion Distribution’s slate include Miriam’s Deathly Adventure—from Wild Pictures for BBC Two—which follows actress Miriam Margolyes (The Real Marigold HotelMiriam’s Big American Adventure) as she confronts aging and mortality. World’s Deadliest, about split-second life-or-death situations; Grime and Punishment, which centers on service industry workers; and My House and Other Animals, a two-parter about animal rehabilitation, are also on the slate.

Best Christmas Food Ever, a lifestyle title Passion Distribution is bringing to MIPTV, stars chef Paul Ainsworth and cook Catherine Fulvio hosting a festive holiday feast. Returning series such as Emma Willis Delivering Babies (season 2), Dr Christian Will See You Now (season 3), Heroes and Survivors: Defying Death (season 2) and Where to I Do? will also be at the market.
