ITV has commissioned the six-part series Extreme Planet Earth from Plimsoll Productions (A Year on Planet Earth, A Real Bug’s Life).

Plimsoll Productions has brought on BAFTA- and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Mark Brownlow, whose work includes Blue Planet II and Frozen Planet II.
