Video Interview: Lucky Chow’s Danielle Chang

PBS’s Emmy-nominated culinary series Lucky Chow has returned for a seventh season, with host and creator Danielle Chang furthering her mission of showcasing the Asian-American experience through food.

In the new five-part season, Chang travels to Taiwan to delve into the island’s culinary culture. She meets indigenous hunters, visits busy night markets and learns how soy sauce and bubble tea are made, giving viewers an in-depth look at the intersection of history, tradition and modernity in Taiwanese cuisine.

Chang sits down with TV Real Weekly to talk about narrowing down what she wanted to focus on across season seven’s five episodes and how the culinary world has evolved over the last ten years while the show has been on air.
