Super Channel will debut two new original docuseries from Winnipeg’s Black Watch Entertainment, including the true-crime cold-case show Finally Caught.

The 26-part series tells the stories of cold cases that were solved over time when new evidence came to light, science evolved or new testimony brought them back to life, finally allowing the killers to be caught.

Finally Caught is executive produced and created by Black Watch Entertainment’s Meghan Duffy, with lead writer and story editor Andrew Malabre leading the creative team. It is set to debut on February 17.

On March 6, Super Channel will premiere Secrets, Lies & DNA Ties, which follows DNA detectives who solve family mysteries using DNA. They uncover infidelity, discover long-lost relatives and get to the bottom of dark family secrets.

Secrets, Lies & DNA Ties is produced by Duffy, who also co-directed the show with series producer Nicholas Treeshin (Thunderbird). The shoe was written by Canadian writer Joel Buxton, with Malabre helming story editing.

“We are excited to partner with Black Watch on these two new compelling Super Channel original series, which we believe will be strong additions to our growing slate of docuseries,” said Jackie Pardy, chief content officer at Super Channel.

Duffy, creator and executive producer for Black Watch Entertainment, added, “Secrets, Lies & DNA Ties is a show that we are all extremely proud of. It’s a very unique and original format with a big and bright cast and stories that will make you think twice about who you are and where you come from. This show is heartwarming, as you are watching family members unite for the first time, while also heartbreaking, as family members are ripped apart within seconds as the DNA test was not a match. It’s not a show you’ll want to miss!”
