Sunny Side of the Doc Calls for Projects

Sunny Side of the Doc, which is taking place from June 24 to 27 in La Rochelle, France, has opened its 2024 call for projects.

In celebration of its 35th anniversary, Sunny Side of the Doc is inviting the international community to think about the future of the ecosystem and the future of the documentary genre itself.

Sunny Side of the Doc 2024 features seven pitch sessions. The pitch sessions will take place in the presence of over 300 international decision-makers representing leading broadcasters, streamers, foundations, sales agents and other funders looking for impactful stories. The best project in each category is picked by a jury of industry experts and awarded with a cash prize, endowed by respective sponsors.

The sessions cover five specialist factual projects with a €3,000 ($3,200) prize, a new voices category and an impact campaigns category, both with €2,000 ($2,200) prizes.

Online submissions may begin on December 7. The deadline is March 14, 2024.
