Smithsonian Channel Sets New Installment for The Lost Tapes

NEW YORK: Smithsonian Channel will look back at the chaotic days following the Rodney King verdict in The Lost Tapes: LA Riots.

Marking the latest installment in its The Lost Tapes franchise, Smithsonian Channel will debut the hour-long documentary on April 23 at 8 p.m., marking the 25th anniversary of the events. The doc special, which comes from Peabody Award-winning director Tom Jennings, features the original media coverage, home videos, photographs and LAPD recordings. The documentary also includes some never-before-heard Los Angeles Fire Department dispatch calls.
