The Sky free-to-air channel Pick has ordered a second season of the true-crime series Britain’s Most Evil Killers and its international counterpart, World’s Most Evil Killers.

The series come from Woodcut Media and are sold by Keshet International. Britain’s Most Evil Killers and World’s Most Evil Killers examine some of the most dangerous and prolific murderers in the U.K. and worldwide, respectively, uncovering what drove them to commit heinous crimes.

“True crime is still a hot genre for audiences worldwide, and this second season has also come hot off the heels of the fabulous ratings Pick received from the first season,” said Kate Beal, the CEO of Woodcut Media. “For Pick, it’s an offering the viewers haven’t had before; its premium crime content on a Freeview channel. The new episodes will continue to offer a multi-faceted analysis of these killers and explore the steps taken that led to their ultimate capture, leaving no stone unturned.”

“Pick viewers are true-crime savvy and Woodcut have done a superb job of delivering high-quality and well-researched shows that our audience is engaging with,” said Stephen Ladlow, the director of Challenge, Pick and Real Lives. “The subject matter is often difficult but is dealt with sensitively and intelligently by a great production company. We are delighted to be greenlighting second seasons of both shows and look forward to offering Pick viewers new insight into these famous crimes.”
