Woodcut Media Secures New Global Sales

Woodcut Media has closed a slew of sales deals across Europe, MENA and North America for its lineup of history, true-crime and other factual programming.

The Manhattan Project in Colour was picked up by BBC Select for the U.S., Radio-Canada for its French-language service, Spektrum TV for Hungary, Yle for Finland and Asharq Networks for the MENA region.

BBC Select also secured the rights to Britain’s Railway Empire in Colour for the U.S.

Also in North America, A+E Networks bolstered its crime offering with How I Caught the Killer’s second through fourth seasons and The Killer Within for Crime Central, while Noah TV licensed WW2: Women on the Frontline and Paranormal Captured.

Hungary’s Spektrum TV picked up Mengele Unveiled, Secret History of WW2 and Royals on the Frontline in addition to The Manhattan Project in Colour.

In MENA, Asharq Networks also acquired Titanic in Colour.

“We’re delighted to have closed these deals ahead of MIPCOM, and it’s been especially rewarding to see the strong international appetite for our latest colorized documentaries,” said Koulla Anastasi, managing director of Woodcut International. “The Manhattan Project in Colour and Britain’s Railway Empire in Colour have captured buyers’ imaginations with their visually stunning restorations, offering audiences a fresh and unique perspective on history.”
