Shopify Launches TV & Film Production Unit

Multichannel commerce platform Shopify has launched Shopify Studios, a full-service TV and film content development and production house.

Shopify Studios will develop, produce and finance entertainment content for streaming platforms and linear networks that spotlights entrepreneurship. Already, the company has set deals with Anonymous Content, Spoke Studios and Saville Productions (Lo and Behold: Reveries of a Connected World, From One Second to the Next) to develop entrepreneur-focused docuseries and feature-length documentaries.

Shopify Studios also produces short- to mid-form content for Shopify’s YouTube channel.
