Saloon Media, a Blue Ant Media company, has strengthened its development and production teams with the promotion of Nick Crowe and the appointment of Tara Elwood.

Crowe, formerly production executive, has been promoted to head of unscripted development. Elwood, who has worked with the company on several projects, including See No Evil and Life Below Zero: Canada, has been hired in a full-time capacity as production executive.

In his new role, Crowe will lead Saloon’s development team as it expands its unscripted portfolio in North America and the international marketplace, with a focus on factual entertainment, formats and specials. He will report to Michael Kot, managing director.

Crowe’s credits with the company include Encounter: UFO and UFO Town. Prior to joining Saloon, he held roles at HISTORY Channel (Canada) and Shaw Media.

In her role as production executive, Elwood will develop and produce content for the North American and international markets. She will report to Betty Orr, senior VP of production.

Elwood has over 20 years of factual production experience, with credits for Race for the White House (CNN and RAW TV), Nazi Hunters (National Geographic), Manson (HISTORY) and CBC’s premium ten-part factual series Canada: The Story of Us.

“Nick remains an invaluable member of the Saloon team, and we look forward to having him take on this expanded role leading our development efforts as we continue to diversify our slate,“ Kot said. “Tara has lent her creative talents to several of our most successful projects in recent years, and we are grateful to welcome her to the Saloon team full-time to collaborate on more exciting content.”
